A motorcyclist has been arrested for dangerous driving causing death, after his pillion passenger died when he hit a kerb near Austin Road West in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Prior to the accident, the motorcycle had been heading towards Tsuen Wan along the Lin Cheung Road underpass. The vehicle then reportedly went out of control as it approached Austin Road West.
The 33-year-old passenger was rushed unconscious to Kwong Wah Hospital, where he was confirmed dead about two hours later.
The 31-year-old motorcycle driver was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with injuries to his limbs.
