Hong Kong stocks opened marginally higher on Wednesday.

The Hang Seng Index gained 59.62 points, or 0.35 percent, to open at 17,233.68.

Mainland markets were lower, with the Shanghai Composite Index down 0.06 percent to open at 2,866.24, and the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.07 percent lower at 8,403.48. (Xinhua)
