China on Thursday announced Vietnamese President To Lam would visit for three days from Sunday, just weeks after he was formally named his country's top leader.

"General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese President To Lam will pay a state visit to China from August 18 to 20," foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said, adding he had been invited by President Xi Jinping. (Xinhua/Agencies)
