Brazilian football club Corinthians presented Dutch striker Memphis Depay as their latest acquisition on Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not announced but local media reported the contract would be worth at least $US12 million.
Depay said he was excited to play in the country that created the concept of ‘joga bonito', which translates to 'beautiful play' in English.
The 30-year-old began his career at PSV Eindhoven and has had spells with Olympique Lyon, Barcelona and Manchester United.
He made 31 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid last season, scoring nine goals. (Reuters)
