Police have arrested a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of criminal damage, after red paint was spilled on a flat on Tai Wo Hau Estate in Kwai Tsing early on Tuesday morning.

Officers managed to find the woman after going through CCTV footage and entry and exit records to the building, arresting her on Shanghai Street in Mong Kok on Wednesday afternoon.

Police suspect she had been offered a "high-paying job" by criminals online but that they disappeared once the alleged act had been committed.

The force again warned members of the public about the risks associated with such advertisements.
