The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau confirmed three water leakage incidents at the Kai Tak Sports Park during tests over the past two months, causing an accumulation of stagnant water.

The bureau said the incidents happened between early August and late September.

In response to media enquiries, Kai Tak Sports Park Limited said the contractor had completed its repairs and all plumbing installations were operating normally now.

It also said the leaks hadn't delayed the construction progress of the park, which is due to open in the first quarter of next year.

"The construction of major facilities at the Kai Tak Sports Park has entered its final stage. We have instructed the contractor to ensure the quality of the work, and the contractor will continue to conduct tests on various facilities and systems," said a spokesman from the sports park.
