A 34-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman remain in police detention, after Narcotics Bureau officers on Tuesday discovered 24 litres of suspected liquid cocaine, hidden in red wine bottles.

Police arrested the mainland man and local woman in an anti-drug operation at a car park on Tat Chee Avenue in Sham Shui Po.

Officers allegedly found the suspected liquid cocaine hidden in 16 1.5-litre bottles, inside a suitcase belonging to the woman.

Police put the street value of the liquid cocaine at HK$11 million.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs.
