Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kwai Chung on Tuesday night in which a 75-year-old woman died.
The accident happened at Kwai Chung Road near Lai King Estate at around 10:30pm, when the woman was reportedly hit by a taxi travelling towards Tsuen Wan.
There are no above-ground pedestrian crossing facilities at the site.
She sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead after being rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital.
The taxi driver, 66, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
Police are investigating the case and have appealed to witnesses to come forward by calling the New Territories South traffic division at 3661-1300.
