Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 33.56 points, or 0.16 percent, to open at 20,414 points on Thursday.

Mainland stocks also opened higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05 percent at 3,267 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.04 percent higher at 10,535 points. (Xinhua)
