Police on Thursday said they laid a holding charge against a 34-year-old foreign man with one count of murder.

The man was arrested on Tuesday following the death of a 25-year-old foreign woman on Monday in Aberdeen.

The case will be mentioned at Eastern Magistrates' Courts on Friday.

Police had also arrested a 36-year-old local woman in connection with the case. She was released on bail and is required to report back to officers in late November.
