Hong Kong stocks jumped at the open on Friday, buoyed by an overnight rate cut in the United States.
The Hang Seng Index gained 246.62 points, or 1.18 percent, to open at 21,199.96.
Earlier, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq powered to fresh records after the Federal Reserve cut interest rates.
The Nasdaq Composite gained 1.51 percent, to 19,269 and the S&P 500 gained 0.74 percent, to 5,973. (Xinhua)
