Hong Kong stocks finished higher on Wednesday.

The Hang Seng Index climbed 41 points or 0.2 percent at 19,705.

Mainland shares also gained ground, with the Shanghai Composite Index up 0.66 percent to 3,367 and the Shenzhen Component Index gaining 0.78 percent at 10,827.
