Two women, aged 38 and 44, have been charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs.

Customs arrested them on Saturday, after officers found about 10 kilos of suspected cannabis buds inside their check-in suitcases.

The two women had arrived in Hong Kong on a flight from Bangkok.

Customs estimate the suspected drugs have a street value of about HK$2.3 million.

The case will be brought up at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
