The Hong Kong market slipped marginally in early trade, and mainland markets also slipped at the open on Tuesday.

The Hang Seng Index lost 96.59 points, or 0.5 percent, to open at 19,054.40.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened down 0.21 percent 3,256.86, and the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.32 percent lower at 10,387. (Xinhua)
