Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 27 points or 0.15 percent to open at 19,187 on Wednesday.

Mainland stocks, meanwhile, opened lower, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.28 percent at 3,250 points. The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.47 percent lower at 10,284 points. (Reuters)
