A Macau official has died after a car accident in an industrial area of the SAR.
Macau's Government Information Bureau said Chief of the Office of the Secretary for Security, Cheong Ioc-ieng, died after the crash on Monday.
A clip that circulated online showed the front of a private car engulfed in flames after a collision with a bus. The car reportedly lost control on Avenida de Venceslau de Morais.
The video showed Cheong, who had been driving the car, being pulled out of the vehicle by passers-by before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters said three people were injured at the scene.
Cheong was reported to have been taken to hospital with no signs of breathing or heartbeat. The other two injured people were passengers on the bus.
The Office of the Secretary for Security expressed sadness over Cheong's death and sent condolences to her family.
