A man who has been charged with murder and attempted robbery, in connection with an incident in Sham Shui Po more than three decades ago, appeared in Eastern Court on Thursday.
Wen Wenye, 59, was arrested last November when he entered Hong Kong via the Shenzhen Bay Port.
He is alleged to be one of three people who robbed a second-hand watch store on Pei Ho Street before fleeing in a car in 1991.
A 56-year-old male shopkeeper died after being shot in the head.
The Eastern Magistrates’ Court has adjourned the case pending transfer to the High Court.
The defendant was again remanded in custody.
Police are still searching for the two other suspects.
