A hill fire which had been burning in Pat Heung since Saturday afternoon was largely put out after more than 20 hours.
The Fire Services Department said Sunday that the Government Flying Service is also water bombing the site.
The blaze near Kai Kung Leng, literally meaning Rooster Ridge, once stretched to 200 metres from one end to the other.
Emergency services first received reports about the fire at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
A Government Flying Service helicopter was deployed later that evening to extract two hikers trapped inside Lam Tsuen Country Park due to the fire and strong winds. They were both evacuated safely.
