Police on Thursday said they have arrested four men for their alleged involvement in a murder case in Yuen Long.
A man died and another was hurt on Wednesday, after they were attacked by a group of knife-wielding men when they were leaving an industrial building on Wang Yip Street West.
Acting Senior Superintendent Tang Yick-kay said two of the arrestees had tried to escape to Thailand.
“The police learned that the two, aged 20 and 21, had flown to Bangkok on Wednesday. We quickly alerted the Thai authorities through our cooperation channels. The two men were subsequently denied entry at Bangkok airport and were sent back to Hong Kong on a flight,” he said, adding that the pair was arrested upon their arrival.
Officers made one more arrest at the Hong Kong International Airport; while the fourth man was taken from a Tuen Mun flat, where suspected space oil drugs were also found.
The four people arrested, aged 20 to 29, are said to have ties to a triad and are being held for questioning.
Police said they are still tracking down on other suspects, and urged members of the public to come forward with information.
