Hong Kong welcomed the first baby of the Year of the Snake at Union Hospital.

The baby girl, weighing 3.02 kilograms, was born at midnight on Wednesday, and is the first child of the Lee family.

The first-time parents said they were joyful and touched to have a healthy baby.

“I will rearrange my hobbies. My focus will be on her from now on,” Mr. Lee said.

Mrs. Lee hopes her daughter will grow up healthily and happily.

"Be happy and do things you enjoy," the mother told her baby.
