The Tourism Bureau said the Travel Industry Authority is working with Miramar Travel to help relatives of a male tour guide who died in a traffic accident in Shanghai on Friday.
The coach was taking a 16-member tour group to Shanghai Pudong International Airport when the accident occurred.
Miramar general manager Alex Lee said the travel agency would not speculate on the cause of the incident, which is under investigation.
"We've already contacted his family. Only one of them was in a position to go to Shanghai, but their mainland travel permit had expired," he said.
"The Immigration Department is helping us to find a way to help the family member. Our company will also send a staffer to travel to Shanghai with his family."
Lee said all members of the six-day tour group have now returned to the SAR, including two who felt unwell and had undergone medical tests in a hospital in Shanghai.
He added that as far as he knew, no one had been arrested in relation to the incident.
The Immigration Department said it's reached out to the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai, as well as the Travel Industry Authority, and would follow up on the case.
