Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Europe and the United Nations before attending a Group of 20 meeting in South Africa later this month.
The Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that Wang will visit the UK and Ireland, and attend the Munich Security Conference, from February 12 to 17.
He will co-chair the 10th China-UK Strategic Dialogue during his stay in Britain, and speak about Beijing's position on major international issues at the conference in Munich.
Wang will then be in New York to chair a high-level United Nations Security Council event held by China on February 18 under the theme of "Practicing Multilateralism, Reforming and Improving Global Governance".
China is the rotating Security Council president for the month.
Wang will next travel to South Africa and attend a G20 foreign ministers' meeting in Johannesburg on February 20 and 21.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said he would skip the G20 talks over an "anti-American" agenda.
"The G20 should promote the spirit of partnership, work together to promote world economic growth, guide global governance in a more just and reasonable direction," Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said in a regular briefing. (Xinhua/AFP)
