LIV golf is returning to Hong Kong in March, after the SAR hosted the tournament for the first time last year in Fanling.

Hong Kong will be the third stop of the tournament, following Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Adelaide, Australia.

Patrick Reed, who won the Hong Kong Open last November, is among the players who are slated to take part.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Reed said he could not wait to return to the city.

"I can't wait to come back. Coming back to the place where I got my 10th win, and also at the same time, to go out and shoot my first 59. It means a lot. I think the biggest thing is the spectators, the fans, the people at the golf course is just spectacular," he said.

Also participating in the team matches, Reed said all his team members are motivated and are ready to give their best.

"Everyone out here I feel like is motivated to go out and play well. We're playing for huge prize purses, but at the same time we're playing for bragging rights over not only the other teams, but all the other players," he said.

Another LIV player Max Lee, who won the tournament promotion game in Riyadh and previously won a BMW car at the 2023 Hong Kong Open, said the Fanling golf course suits his game.

"The Fanling golf course, it requires accuracy despite not being that far away, and there are different kinds of valleys. This is similar to where I usually practice. Also, the trees in Fanling are very tall, the wind directions varies. I am the kind of player that excels in hitting low golf shots, and my performance at the venue in the past few years have been satisfactory," he said.
