Arrangements were being made by the Macau authorities – via the Red Cross – to return to the SAR the bodies of two residents killed in an explosion in Taiwan.
The pair were among seven members of a family from Macau caught up in the blast that rocked the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store in Taichung.
The suspected gas explosion hit the food court on the 12th floor of the building, killing four and injuring about 30 others.
A team of officials from Macau went to Taichung and visited those injured in hospital.
China on Friday expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
Zhu Fenglian, a spokeswoman of the Taiwan Affairs Office, also extended sympathy to those injured in the blast. (Agencies)
