Hong Kong's stock market ended slightly lower on Monday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 0.02 percent to close at 22,616 points.

Meanwhile, stocks on the mainland closed higher with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.27 percent to 3,355 points.
