Police said a newborn baby was found dead in a unit in western Tsuen Wan on Monday.

Officers said they received a report at around 3pm regarding an unconscious infant in a unit at Lido Garden in Sham Tseng.

Paramedics confirmed that the two-day-old baby had died upon their arrival.

The force said the baby's mother has been arrested for suspected child neglect, and investigations are continuing.
