Eleven people including the driver were injured when a bus hit an exit ramp road divider on Tolo Highway on Wednesday.

Police received a report around noon that a KMB bus heading towards Sheung Shui hit the divider in Tai Po.

An officer said the driver sustained injuries in the leg and was sent to North District Hospital in a semi-conscious state, while 10 passengers also sustained injuries.

KMB said the driver was scheduled for a rest day on Tuesday, adding that the company will assist the police with the investigation.

The Transport Department said it will review and follow up on the findings by the bus company.

The Motor Transport Workers General Union Kowloon Bus Branch alleged that the driver was overworked because of poor scheduling by KMB, adding that many other bus drivers have had similar complaints.

The union will meet with KMB's management on Thursday to discuss these problems and ask for better working conditions.
