The Hang Seng Index gained 91.61 points, or 0.42 percent, to open at 22,072.35 points on Monday.
On the mainland, the Shanghai Composite Index opened down 0.09 percent at 3,292.06 points while the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.09 percent higher at 9,925.70 points.
