Hang Seng Index opens lower

The Hang Seng Index fell 65.46 points or 0.28 percent to open at 23,216.87 points on Tuesday.

Mainland stocks also opened lower, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.01 percent to open at 3,346 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.17 percent lower at 10,074 points.

Stock markets in the US were closed on Monday for the Memorial Day holiday. (Xinhua)
