The Hong Kong, China men's footballers were held to a 0-0 draw against Nepal in a friendly at Hong Kong Stadium on Thursday evening.

The SAR, ranked 153rd in the world and 22 spots above the visitors, extended their unbeaten run in international competition to nine matches.

Right-back Yue Tsz-nam was one of the stars for Hong Kong, making several crucial tackles while being a threat going forward.

The SAR's best chance came at the hour mark, but midfielder Ngan Cheuk-pan was unable to find the net off a feed from debutant Manuel Rodriguez.

And in a blow to Hong Kong, striker Michael Udebuluzor left the match because of a leg injury and could miss the Asian Cup qualifier against India on Tuesday.

Nepal substitute Mani Lama was sent off in stoppage time for his second yellow following a late challenge.
