Business leaders and politicians attended a vigil for late businessman Charles Ho at the Hong Kong Funeral Home on Saturday.
The media and tobacco tycoon died earlier this month at the age of 75.
Government officials including health chief Lo Chung-mau and security minister Chris Tang were among those in attendance, as was Hong Kong's delegate to the nation's top legislature Starry Lee.
Former officials, including ex-chief executives CY Leung and Donald Tsang, and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Standing Committee member Henry Tang also attended.
CK Hutchison chairman Victor Li, Far East Consortium chairman David Chiu and Lan Kwai Fong Group chairman Allan Zeman also paid tribute to Ho.
Ho was previously a standing committee member of the CPPCC and chaired the Sing Tao News Corporation for decades.
