The first two rounds of reservations for the public to board the Shandong aircraft carrier and two other naval vessels were all snapped up shortly after they opened at 10am and 3pm.

A naval fleet led by the carrier, accompanied by the Yan'an and Zhanjiang missile destroyers, and the Yuncheng missile frigate, will be in Hong Kong from July 3 to 7, with public visits scheduled for the weekend.

Visitors will also get to see training demonstrations while onboard.

Of the 10,000 tickets on offer, one fifth is designated for the aircraft carrier, while the rest are for the Zhanjiang and the Yuncheng.

The public can still try their luck for the final time at 8pm today for the other time slots.

It will be the fleet's first visit to the SAR.
