The Observatory on Monday cancelled all tropical cyclone warning signals at 5.10 am, saying with Wipha continuing to depart from Hong Kong, local winds had further subsided.

It said squally showers and thunderstorms were still expected over the territory, and that showers would be heavy at times.

The Observatory also warned of occasionally strong offshore winds and swells.

On Sunday, Hong Kong saw its first Hurricane Signal Number 10 since September 2023, as Wipha skirted by the territory.

The Drainage Services Department on Sunday said there were seven cases of flooding during the typhoon in Tai Po, Wong Tai Sin, Sai Kung, Yau Tong, and on Lung Cheung Road. It said all had been resolved.

The department also said there were no reports of flooding in Tai Po Market, where a storm surge could have resulted in a rise in sea levels.

Meanwhile, the Government's 1823 Call Centre and the Fire Services Department said they had received reports of over 700 fallen trees.

There were also five reports of collapsed scaffolding.
