The Transport Department closed three routes in Stanley due to flooding caused by the heavy rain on Tuesday morning.

Stanley Beach Road, Stanley Mound Road, and Stanley Village Road were closed to all traffic.

The department advised drivers to use alternative routes and to follow the instructions of police officers on site.

Separately, ferry services under Coral Sea Ferry Services connecting Kwun Tong, Sai Wan Ho, and Sam Ka Tsuen were suspended.

Citybus said it would maintain its services, but routes covering Shek O, Stanley, Sai Kung and Tai Tam, may be delayed due to traffic congestion and flooding.

Meanwhile, Kowloon Motor Bus said route 91, which connects Clear Water Bay and Diamond Hill, would temporarily adopt Tai Au Mun as its terminus.

It would not stop at points along Tai Au Mun Road and Clear Water Bay due to flooding.
