A man and a woman were taken to hospital with burns to their hands after a fire broke out at a metal hut in Shek O on Wednesday.

Video footage showed thick smoke and flames coming from the structure.

Police said the hut on Shek O Village Road caught fire at around 1pm.

The blaze was put out at around 2pm after firefighters arrived at the scene.
