A second member of a Hong Kong tour group has died in a traffic accident in Xinjiang last week.
Four members of a tour organised by the agency Travel Circle International were involved in the accident at Duku highway on Wednesday.
One of them died later that day in a local hospital.
Of the three who were injured, one died in hospital on Monday. The other two were still being treated.
The Travel Industry Council said it will continue to work closely with the agency and provide support and assistance to the victims and their families.
The Immigration Department, for its part, said it has followed up on the case with the SAR's office in Beijing, the agency involved as well as the Travel Industry Council.
The department added that its staff were in Xinjiang to help those in need.
