China and the United States will hold a new round of economic and trade talks in Spain from Sunday.
The Commerce Ministry said Vice Premier He Lifeng will meet a US delegation from September 14 to 17.
The ministry said the two sides will discuss issues such as US tariffs, export control and TikTok.
Washington said US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett will attend the talks.
Bessent will travel to Spain and the United Kingdom from Friday to September 18, with the Madrid portion of his visit including discussions with Chinese representatives on "key national security, economic, and trade issues of mutual interest," the US Treasury Department said in a statement.
Tensions between the world's two biggest economies simmered this year but have improved since April, when both countries slapped escalating tariffs on each other's exports. (Agencies)
