Hong Kong on Tuesday recorded one more imported case of chikungunya fever, bringing this year's total to 18.
The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) said the latest patient is a 39-year-old woman who lives in Kowloon City district and travelled to Jiangmen in Guangdong province from September 7 to 9.
After returning to Hong Kong, she developed a fever and joint pain on Monday and sought medical treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The woman is in stable condition in hospital.
The CHP added that 10 household contacts are asymptomatic and under medical surveillance.
