The Hang Seng Index fell 44 points, or 0.17 percent, to open at 26,863 on Thursday.

On the mainland, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened down 0.01 percent at 3,876, while the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.41 percent lower at 13,161. (Xinhua)
