Two of the city's best-known athletes have been named the 2025 “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” in Hong Kong.
Grace Lau, the first SAR karate athlete to win an Olympic medal, and Edmond Yapp, goalkeeper of the Hong Kong, China football team, are honoured for their contributions to sports.
Other winners include Edmund Wong, the lawmaker representing the accountancy sector, as well as figures from the arts, medicine and business sectors.
The campaign is organised by Junior Chamber International Hong Kong.
Daryl Lin, chairman of the organising committee, praised the winners, saying that they have achieved excellence in their respective fields.
Lin added that all of them love Hong Kong and use their international experience to serve the city.
