At least eight people were injured on Sunday following a five-car pile-up in Jordan, with one of the vehicles crashing onto the pavement.

Police received reports at around 2pm, saying three private cars collided with two buses on Jordan Road near the junction of Shanghai Street.

The force said officers arrested a man suspected of trafficking in a dangerous drug and furious driving, after seizing suspected cocaine from one of the private vehicles involved in the incident.

Two of the injured were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Officers are investigating the case.
