The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) confirmed two new cases of chikungunya fever on Sunday, raising the total number of infections in Hong Kong to 26 this year.
According to the centre, the first patient is a 61-year-old man from Southern District who travelled to Foshan and Zhuhai between September 27 and 29.
He began experiencing fever and joint pain in early October.
The second case involves a 24-year-old man from Eastern District.
He visited Jiangmen alone from September 26 to 29 and subsequently developed a fever, rash and joint pain, also in early October.
Health officials reported that the two men are in stable condition, and their household contacts remain asymptomatic under medical surveillance.
