A 42-year-old woman faces a charge of trafficking a dangerous drug after customs officers seized HK$1.2 million worth of suspected methamphetamine from her luggage at the airport.
Officers said the arrest took place on Friday when the passenger, who had travelled from Johannesburg to Hong Kong via Dubai, was found with approximately 3.7 kilogrammes of the illicit substance in her check-in baggage during clearance.
Customs officers said she was arrested and the case is set to be heard at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
