The Immigration Department said five people – three men and two women – have been arrested in its latest operation targeting illegal workers.
Officers said all five are from the mainland and suspected of offering make-up and photography services without having work permits.
Aged from 20 to 29 years old, they were arrested between Monday and Thursday.
They used the mainland social media platform Xiaohongshu to promote their services, officers added.
The department said it would continue to closely monitor the situation on the internet and carry out more crackdowns if necessary.
The arrests came after 10 people, including eight mainlanders, were arrested over a month ago for coming to Hong Kong to provide similar services.
