The Airport Authority said its North Runway is expected to reopen at 11pm on Monday, upon the completion of salvage work for the cargo plane that plunged into the sea last week.
Last Monday, two people were killed when the plane slid off the runway and struck a ground vehicle at the airport, before crashing into the sea.
The fuselage and other parts of the aircraft were lifted out of the water on Sunday night, and have been taken to a storage site for further investigation.
The salvage team subsequently removed the remaining parts of the aircraft from the sea on Monday evening, consisting of an aircraft engine and a landing gear.
Airport officials say the runway will resume operations following safety checks.
