Police are investigating a suspected murder and suicide case in Tsing Yi in which an 82-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman died.

Officers said they believe the man had attacked the woman inside a flat with a blunt object in Wang Sum House on Wednesday afternoon before plunging to his death.

The woman sustained head injuries and was pronounced dead inside the unit.

Autopsies will be conducted and the crime squad of Kwai Tsing is leading the investigation.
