President Xi Jinping on Saturday said China and South Korea should strengthen strategic communication and consolidate a foundation of mutual trust.
The two countries should properly manage differences through friendly consultations, Xi said while holding talks in Gyeongju with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung.
Xi said China and South Korea are important neighbours are inseparable cooperation partners that cannot be moved apart.
He also said China and South Korea should work together to practice genuine multilateralism and safeguard the multilateral trading system.
China's economy has a solid foundation, advantages in many areas, strong resilience and great potential, with conditions and underlying trend supporting its long-term growth unchanged, Xi said. (Xinhua)
