Customs officers arrested a man at the airport on Sunday after finding what they suspect to be liquid methamphetamine disguised as wine inside his suitcase.
Officials say the suspect, 52, was preparing to board a flight to Nadi, Fiji on Sunday when he was intercepted by customs officers.
Officers say they found about 1.5 kilogrammes of the suspected drug, worth an estimated market value of about HK$800,000, in his suitcase.
In a statement, the Customs Department said it will continue to step up enforcement against drug trafficking activities through intelligence analysis.
