The government on Tuesday said the former head of the Government Logistics Department (GLD), Carlson Chan, will not be among those receiving an award at the annual honours ceremony this Saturday.

Back in July, Chan was awarded a Silver Bauhinia Star.

In a statement, the government said there's an ongoing disciplinary investigation over the department's procurement of bottled water for public offices earlier this year.

It added Chan will not be on the honours list until the probe is complete.

The government said he has been notified of the decision, which was made after advice was sought from the Honours and Non-official Justices of the Peace Selection Committee.
