National security police said they arrested two people in Kwai Chung in an operation on Monday.
Police said the pair – a 32-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman – were suspected of committing the offences of “doing an act with seditious intention”, “assisting offenders” and “possession of dangerous drugs”.
Officers allege that the man repeatedly published posts with seditious intention on the social media platform of a shop he owned in Kwai Chung, as well as funded activities endangering national security, from October 2020 to October 2025.
Officers searched the shop and seized cash and related invoices.
Police said they also searched the pair's home and found a small amount of suspected cannabis.
The two suspects are being detained for further inquiries.
